Venice '04

Fuji S7000 @ 7.8mm, 1/200 sec, f/2.8, ISO 200

My broadband doesn't seem to be working at home at the moment, so I haven't been able to upload a new photo today. So I chose this one from my Europe trip in summer 2004 (seems so long ago now!). This one is from Venice, one of the most picturesque places I've ever seen.

Hello John, that is a great shot. As a matter of fact, I have looked through your whole blog since discovering it a few days ago, and I can say without hesitation that all your shots are great. I discovered your blog after you posted on the dpreview forums. Looking through your blog has really inspired me and I hope I can be half as good as you one day. Right now I'm shooting a Canon G6 but hopefully switching to dslr after a few more months (yes it will be a nikon :), First I still want to learn more about photography and techniques...anyways I am babbling...

Great shot once again

I really like this shot John - and I think it's more the composition than the desaturation that does it for me. Lovely!

Hey wojzuk,

Thanks a lot, glad you're enjoying the blog! I've not been doing this photography thing for that long, so there's absolutely no reason that you can't get these kind (if not better) results.

Let me know how you get on anyway, and if you've got a website I'd love to check out your work.

Cheers!
