Victoria Street

Nikon D70 @ 27mm, 4 secs, f/8, ISO 200

I didn't manage to take any shots this weekend, so a mid-week session may be in order to fuel the blog. I can never understand how the weekends manage to pass so quickly!

Anyway, this shot was taken shortly after my last post's, at Victoria Street. I've been meaning to get a shot of this street for a while, but I'm not sure that I'm convinced with this one.

It looks like a movie still. I love the composition of the curved street. Great tones and highlights

Now this is more like it!! Love the arches and the curves of the street. You have me completely convinced I need to visit Europe, and with many flash cards. LOL

I'm new to your blog, and wow.. I absolutely love this picture. The curves, the architecture, the exposure.. The picture shows of a busy street filled with cars and dense architecture, yet, it is so empty and soulless at night.
So, are you convinced now? Ironically, I live in Victoria Street. But it's in another country and there's no architecture of this sort here.

Ok guys, I think you managed to convince me on this one.

DGAF: And I am rather jealous of the derelict scenes you find. I did have a wander down the street, but it wasn't that great - being down at street levels means that the cars were blocking a lot of the scene.

Shutteredeye: Let me know if you ever make it to Edinburgh :)

Carmen: Hello there! I wasn't sure if it was you or not, but then I got your email (which I'll reply to tonight... promise). Amazing! Great to hear from you again.

Fly: Welcome on board! Thanks for the comment and helping to convince me of the shot :)
