Little Squirrel

Nikon D70 @ 70mm, 1/60 sec, f/4.5, ISO 200

Took this one on Saturday in the Botanic Gardens. I was amazed at how tame the squirrels were - they were coming right up to me when I was crouching down. One little guy even came up from behind me and had a peek to see what was in my camera bag.

Wildlife shots aren't my cup of tea, so I had to have a play in PS with this one to make it a little more interesting :)

I love what you've done with the grass. The contrast with the leaves looks great.

DAGF: I simply used a hue/saturation layer, selected greens and set it to -100. Then I used the eye droppers to tweak the colours to be included in the desaturation. Incredibly easy to do.

Thanks a lot Thomas and Dougie.

So cute! I love the depth of field here, and the way the brown around the squirrel's eye perfectly matches the brown of the leaves.
